01 · BRAND & BRIEF

Overview

I developed Instagram strategy and content for a UK-based Pakistani fashion retailer, connecting product discovery with styling, trust and purchase questions. The reported 90-day account period recorded 27,723 views, 1,013 profile visits and +122 net followers.

The July giveaway ad campaign is reported separately, alongside the wider content strategy.

Objectives

  • Reach UK-based Pakistani-fashion audiences.
  • Strengthen product presentation and confidence.
  • Address questions before purchase.
  • Guide viewers towards useful next steps through saves, profile visits and DMs.
THE DECISIONS BEHIND THE CONTENT

Challenge

Help a UK Pakistani fashion retailer stand out on Instagram while addressing the questions that can slow a clothing purchase.

Insight

Discovery alone is only one part of the buying decision. Styling, product details and clear answers help customers decide whether an outfit suits their occasion.

Response

Use Reels for discovery, product and styling content for consideration, and Stories and clear DM prompts to support the next step. Keep UK and Pakistani-fashion keywords natural.

02 · STRATEGY

Content strategy

The strategy followed the buying journey. Reels and occasion-led hooks supported discovery; product details and styling supported evaluation; Stories and clear DM prompts helped interested shoppers ask questions.

Relevant UK and Pakistani-fashion keywords connected the content with audience searches. The intended measures were non-follower views, saves, profile visits and enquiries; the available account evidence is reported below.

03 · EXECUTION

Content execution

I translated the strategy into Reels, carousels, static posts and Stories. Each format served a clear purpose: introduce a collection, show details, answer a question or encourage the next step.

  • Reels and new-arrival reveals for discovery.
  • Product carousels, close-ups and styling ideas for evaluation.
  • Stories, availability updates and DM prompts for purchase questions.

Reels & short-form video

New arrivals, outfit close-ups, embroidery details and occasion styling introduced products through short-form content. The hook connected the clothing to a need, while the visuals showed what the customer was considering.

Stories Strategy

Stories supported consideration with availability, restocks, styling choices and customer questions. Direct links and DM prompts gave interested viewers a practical next step.

04 · COPY & SEARCH

Copywriting

I combined seasonal hooks, audience-led language and useful styling advice. Brand references provided context, while save and DM prompts connected the content with a useful action.

Caption structure

  • Start with an occasion or audience hook.
  • Give useful styling or product guidance.
  • Add a relevant brand reference.
  • Invite a save or DM enquiry.
  • Include natural UK and niche search terms.

Keywords & discoverability

  • UK and Pakistani-fashion audience terms.
  • Relevant product and collection names.
  • Eid and wedding-season occasion terms.
  • Matching wording across hooks, captions and on-screen text.
  • Niche hashtags and a clear next-step prompt.

Visual identity

Product-focused layouts, clear typography and editorial compositions kept clothing prominent. Minimal graphics supported product information and a consistent visual presence.

05 · PLANNING & IMPROVEMENT

Content optimisation

I placed relevant UK, Pakistani-fashion and product keywords across hooks, on-screen text, captions and hashtags. This was intended to support discovery while keeping language natural. DM prompts connected that discovery with a route to ask about products.

Research

Plan

Organise product, styling and occasion-led ideas in a content calendar.

Create

Develop Reels, carousels, Stories and captions around a clear audience need.

Optimise

06 · PERFORMANCE & EVIDENCE

Results, with context

The 90-day account overview recorded 27,723 views, 1,013 profile visits and +122 net followers, with 55% of views from non-followers. The supplied follower counts rose from approximately 374 to 496, an increase of around 32.6%.

These are mixed organic and paid account totals. The measurement window extends beyond the January–August management period, so it is reported separately from my project dates.

Account performance & non-paid estimates

Reporting period: 10 June–10 September 2026

Source: Instagram Insights | Meta Ads Manager

Across the supplied 90-day account overview: 27,723 views, 1,013 profile visits and +122 net followers. Views and visits include organic and paid activity.

Indicative non-paid estimates are 22,317 views (27,723 minus 5,406 ad views) and 789 profile visits (1,013 minus 224 ad visits). These assume matching definitions and comparable reporting windows; the screenshots do not establish a complete attribution split. Subtracting 62 ad-attributed follows from +122 net growth does not establish organic follower growth.

The July giveaway campaign spent £49.93 and recorded 62 ad-attributed follows and 224 profile visits. £49.93 ÷ 62 gives approximately £0.81 per attributed follow; £49.93 ÷ 224 gives approximately £0.22 per profile visit. These are platform-reported actions, rather than confirmed customers or sales.

What I learned

  • Product information and styling give customers support beyond the initial reveal.
  • Reels and Stories serve different stages, so each needs a clear purpose.
  • Overall account growth and ad-attributed follows need separate reporting; net growth cannot be cleanly split by subtraction.

What comes next

  • Compare occasion-led hooks across Reels and carousels.
  • Expand styling and product-detail content around recurring questions.
  • Track DM enquiries and purchase steps alongside reach and profile activity.
